"It is not news to anyone that the president and his staffers lie all the time about everything. Donald Trump himself says something false in public 22 times a day now. That's up from 15 a day throughout the entire calendar year 2018. His White House counselor coined the term "Alternative Facts" to describe the lies they tell all the time, which fit together to form an entire parallel architecture of unreality—a whole 'nother world, the contours of which can be bent to fit whatever their needs are in that moment. But it's still nice to have a cut-and-dried example of what's going on. After all, the president's chief spokesliar, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, was interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
